Built on an olive-clad hillside near the hamlet of Agios Ioannis and overlooking Gaios, the capital of the island, Villa Rachi offers stunning panoramic views, extending from the idyllic fishing port of Gaios and the Venetian fortress on the adjacent island of Agios Nikolaos across to the Greek mainland and the southern tip of Corfu.
Layout- Decoration
Inside and outside the villa local limestone prevails and this is combined, in the interior, with wood and simple Mediterranean décor, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
The open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen, and two separate bedrooms (each with its own en-suite bathroom), spread out on the ground floor, with three exits to the garden and pool.
All rooms have large patio doors or windows that allow natural light and unobstructed views.
A wooden pergola extends along the front of the house casting welcome shade on the terrace and the outdoor dining area.
Furniture - Equipment
Villa Rachi is fully equipped and furnished, with comfortable mattresses and cotton bedding.
Garden - Swimming pool
The garden, with large terraces, and lush with olive trees, oleanders and flowers, spreads out on two levels in front of the villa, inviting the guests to enjoy swimming in the pool, dining under the shady pergola, sunbathing in the shade of the olive trees, and unparalleled views from anywhere they stand.
Access - Distance from the main port
The villa is approximately 2 km from the main port, travelling via the main island coast road. The final 600 meters is paved with cement
Note: Cars, motorbikes and quad-bikes are available to rent on the island, and we are happy to arrange this for you. You can either collect your vehicle at the port on your arrival, or whenever/wherever suits you.
Beaches and taverns nearby
The beaches of Kamini, Kloni Gouli and Kaki Lagada are just 2 km away.
A quick 3-minute drive, or 10–15-minute easy walk, will take you to the village of Bogdanatika where the Thymari restaurant offers delicious Greek cuisine.
Alternatively, Gaios, the main village on the island, is only a 5-minute drive away and has a wide variety of tavernas, restaurants and pizzerias.
