Built on an olive-clad hillside in the hamlet of Geromonachos Villa Eleni, originally one of the residences of the British governor in the 1860’s, offers the guest a unique setting coloured with a touch of history!
Layout- Decoration
Exteriorly the local limestone prevails, whilst the interior has been renovated with simple Mediterranean décor, and offers pleasant and relaxing spaces.
Ground floor: An open-plan living room, dining room, kitchen and WC occupy the ground floor of the villa, which leads onto a large patio with dining area and the lower garden.
1st floor: Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom and one bathroom with shower. There is also an external stone staircase which leads to the pool area and upper garden.
A large pergola casts welcome shade on the front of the house and the outdoor dining area
Furniture - Equipment
Villa Eleni is fully equipped and furnished, with comfortable mattresses and cotton linens.
Garden - Swimming pool
Surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, oleanders, ferns and flowers, the garden spreads out on three levels around the villa, inviting guests to swim in the pool, dine under the shady pergola and sunbathe under an umbrella……or just relax on the hammock under the olive trees.
Access - Distance from the main port
The villa is approximately 1.5 km from the main port travelling via the main coastal road. The final 200 m track to the house is paved with cement.
Note: Cars, motorbikes and quad-bikes are available to rent on the island and we are happy to arrange this for you. You can either collect your vehicle at the port on your arrival, or whenever/wherever suits you.
Beaches and taverns nearby
The beaches of Kamini, Kloni Gouli and Kaki Lagada are just 1.5 km away.
A quick 3-minute drive will take you to the village of Bogdanatika where the Thymari tavern offers delicious Greek cuisine.
Alternatively, Gaios, the main village on the island, is only a 5-minute drive away, and offers a wide variety of tavernas, restaurants and pizzerias.
